Anima represents the soul and the idealised image of a woman that exists in a man's subconscious. She embodies qualities that no real woman in his life possesses, which is why she has no face - she’s not meant to be a specific person.
Her hair flows like water, symbolising emotions, and in this moment, she’s about to fix it - as if clearing away the thoughts and feelings that have been clouding her vision. Maybe, once she finds that inner clarity, everything around her will start to shift. There’s a calm energy in her, but also something unpredictable, like she is grounded yet constantly changing - just like the emotions she represents.
The pattern on her blouse is borrowed from my favorite artist - Klimt - who used rectangles as symbols of masculinity.
