This painting was a chance for me to play around and try out some new techniques. I’ve always been drawn to plants and flowers - not just for their beauty, but for the stories they carry. They’ve been used for centuries to express feelings, offer comfort, and simply make the world feel a little more alive. I also love experimenting with contrasts - not only in color, but in how things feel and look up close. In this piece, I combined rough, bold strokes made with a palette knife and paired them with tiny, detailed dots using the thinnest brush I have. There’s something really satisfying about letting those different textures interact on the canvas.
