if you are so scared to die, why are you so scared to live

The idea for this painting came to me while I was recovering from covid. At one point, I felt so unwell that I genuinely started to fear the worst. In that moment of anxiety, a thought popped into my head, almost like a voice inside me saying, “if you’re so afraid to die, why are you afraid to live?”

That simple question hit me deeply. It was one of those self-reflecting moments that puts everything into perspective, and it stayed with me. This painting is my way of capturing that feeling.
