This Madonna is my vision of a modern woman - someone who knows her worth and exactly what she wants from life. She holds all the power in the world, but she doesn’t need to show it off or prove anything to anyone. She cares for her child with love and grace, but if needed, she could easily take care of the entire world without breaking a sweat.

I spent around 700 hours painting her, but honestly, the real work began long before that - shaping the idea, searching for the right inspiration. You can definitely feel the echoes of Raphael’s Sistine Madonna and Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring in there, along with many other symbolic masterpieces that have left their mark on me.
