This piece shows the koi fish - a symbol of persistence and strength - swimming through waves that stir up and reveal the true colors of the heart, hidden deep at the bottom of the river. It’s one of my personal “Everests,” a painting that took me over 700 hours to complete. Every detail is filled with symbols and quiet messages that tell a story about learning to accept love. Some of those hidden messages can only truly be seen when you experience the painting in person.
