Description:

The shell in this painting symbolises solitude - a space we sometimes need to retreat into. But the heart of the message is about connection. Even when we’re in our own shell, it’s always possible to step out and offer a hand when someone close to us needs support.

There’s also a little trick with this piece - you don’t have to keep the parts of the diptych in the original position to see the shell clearly. You can rotate or rearrange them however you like, which brings a whole new energy to the piece and makes it feel even more dynamic and alive.
